Andy believes that everyone can contribute towards achieving impact and creating better tomorrows, and hopes to bring their voices and ideas to relevant decision-makers through co-design.
Change and innovation, especially within the public service, has been the key theme of Andy’s career for over the past 14 years. He has held portfolios across many functions, including corporate planning, innovation, business process redesign, organizational development, HR and policy. Trained in design facilitation at Stanford University’s d.school, he helped entrench design as a capability within the Ministry of Manpower. He was instrumental in helping it become the first Ministry HQ to win the prestigious Singapore Quality Award. At the Public Service Division, he also helped fellow public servants and organisations understand and apply design thinking to address wicked challenges they face, and build citizen-centricity in policy and service design.
Especially passionate about social issues, Andy has been involved in projects involving low-income families and community development.
Andy holds a Masters of Business Administration (Dean’s List) from the Singapore Management University, as well as a Masters of Engineering and Bachelors of Art in the Manufacturing Engineering Tripos from University of Cambridge. He is also a qualified Business Excellence assessor for SPRING Singapore, and accredited in Caliper Profiling for HR, organisational development and talent management practice.
